How to use the KAEF Blog
A blog differs from other websites because it seeks to create a community of readers, who can share thoughts and ideas with one another and with the writers of the blog.  The blog format may be unfamiliar to many of our readers. For that reason, we’ve put together a step-by-step guide on how to get the most of the KAEF blog.
How to use the KAEF blog:
- Go to the blog’s main page:Â http://www.kaef-online.org/kaefblog/
- Put the page in your browser’s bookmarks.
- Visit the site as often as you like. We update the blog every day by 16:00 Prishtina time, so if you visit us daily you’ll always find something new.
- Follow the links embedded in the blog by clicking on them. Within every post, we provide links to sites that will provide you with more information. These links are highlighted in a deeper red color than the surrounding text. By clicking on them, you’ll be taken to the additional information. For example, here is a very beautiful, thoughtful essay about blogging by Andrew Sullivan. If you click above on the word “here,” you’ll be taken straight to his essay! By providing links the KAEF blog serves as a jumping off point for a deeper exploration of any topic.
- If you have a question or comment about the material in the blog, or if you just want to practice your English writing skills, go to the bottom of the post and click on the link that says “Comments.” (It will actually say “No Comments,” “1 Comment,” “2 Comments,” etc.)

This will give you the opportunity to leave your thoughts. To do so, you must fill out your name, your e-mail, and your comment.Â

-
Comments do not appear immediately on the blog – we review them and approve them here in Washington. If you post a comment, we will review it, approve it, AND reply to it the next day. Leaving comments is a great way to involve yourself in the KAEF blog.
- If you would prefer to read the KAEF blog in a blog reader, click here to subscribe to our RSS feed. What is an RSS feed, you ask? Here’s an explanation from Wikipedia.
- If you’d like to browse through previous posts on the blog, look at the KAEF blog menu on the right side of the page. From the menu, you can look at previous posts in two ways: by the date on which they were published (click on any day on the calendar) or by the category of the post.

Any questions or comments? You know what to do!
We hope this has been a useful primer for our readers who are a little less familiar with the KAEF blog. We remain committed to providing you with the best information to advance your educational goals and to develop the close ties between the people of the United States and of Kosovo. We hope you’ll join us!
