Creating a New Kosovo Through Education strives to highlight the importance of good quality higher education, which is the key to increased competitiveness in the global economy, peace-building, and better governance in post-conflict countries.
This special evening is organized by American Councils for International Education. The event will benefit the Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF). Established in 2004, KAEF is dedicated to the economic development of Kosovo through the education of its most promising youth and professionals. To date, KAEF has provided nearly 80 graduate degrees to the country's best and brightest.
Keynote Speaker
GENERAL WESLEY K. CLARK (RET.)
In 38 years of service in the United States Army, Wesley K. Clark rose to the rank of four-star general as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander, Europe. Since retiring from the military in 2000, he has become an investment banker, businessman, commentator, author and teacher. Clark commanded Operation Allied Force in the Kosovo War during his term as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO from 1997 to 2000.
