The selection process for the 2016 group of KAEF finalists continued with interviews being conducted in Prishtina for the 20 tier-1 semifinalists during the weekend of September 12-13, 2015. Semifinalists were interviewed by American Councils staff from the U.S., Andrew Horsfall from Syracuse University, and KAEF alumni Fjolla Raifi (Saturday) and Milot Ahma (Sunday).
This year's tier-1 semifinalists were taken from the fields of business administration, economics, law, and public administration/policy. The program received a record number of applicants this year, with 145. All 20 of the tier-1 semifinalists took the TOEFL exam on September 5th and those in non-business fields of study were tested for the GRE on September 20th in Prishtina at AUK. Those pursuing an MBA were tested for the GMAT on September 19th in Skopje.
