David Gotaas was a champion of the Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF). His support included serving on the KAEF Committee since 2005, attending Fellow graduation ceremonies, traveling throughout Kosovo and making financial contributions. David celebrated and supported individual Fellows. He also believed in the program and its potential to make a difference for Kosovo’s future.
David passed away in May 2015 at the age of 64. In his honor, American Councils for International Education named two KAEF awards, one to recognize KAEF alumni and one for a community supporter of KAEF. Together, these awards honor David’s commitment to individual students and the program overall.
Award recipient will be recognized at a prestigious event in Pristina in May, and will receive a certificate of recognition and cash award of US$250.
